business magazine catering to a highly specialized international
audience wanted to publish technical stories featuring experts
in the field who had never written articles. DiVerse Media President
Diane Sears, a former business magazine editor, worked with the
experts to help them write articles spotlighting their ideas in
their own words. She also produced cover stories under her own
byline as an independent contractor, allowing the magazine to
expand its "staff" without breaking its budget. In addition,
she has helped produce several sister newsletters for the organization
both online and in print.
