A veteran human
resources consultant who teaches seminars and gives keynote
speeches wanted to write a book about her revolutionary new way
of hiring only top performers. DiVerse Media President Diane Sears
drew on her own 20 years of publishing experience to coach the
author thorough the process, assisting her in organizing her work,
polishing her words, hiring an agent and pitching the book to
publishers. The book was picked up by a major publishing house
in less than two months and is now on sale at top bookstores nationwide.
An internationally known marketing
consultant was co-writing a how-to book about his area of
expertise. He and his co-author were on a tight deadline to finish
the project before a speaking tour. Diane worked with them to
compile their research, organize their work into chapters, and
choose the right words to make their book a must-read for business
professionals. She also drew on her background as marketing director
of a software company to advise the authors in developing a companion
Web site for the book.
An aspiring author had tried
for years to cull through more than 10,000 letters, greeting cards,
postcards and diary entries that told a story about her family
history. DiVerse Media helped her by managing the project to turn
the letters into a book, keeping the author on schedule, organizing
the documents, securing a
print-on-demand publisher and editing the words.
An international
motivational speaker was writing his second book. He called
on DiVerse Media to help him set up a reader-friendly format,
produce catchy chapter titles and subtitles, send an online questionnaire
to gather case studies, and edit and proofread the book.
A woman with a story to tell wanted to write a book about her
experience growing up with a famous father. But she was not a
writer and was unsure how to have the discipline to sit down and
put her story on paper. DiVerse Media helped her by conducting
a series of interviews designed to help her remember details she
had forgotten. Before she knew it, the woman was writing a book
just like a pro.
